Hialeah Gardens Senior High School and Redland Middle School Win Top Honors at Miami-Dade College Hialeah Policy Debate Classic

Miami, FL – November 19, 2025 — Hialeah Gardens Senior High School claimed first place in the high school division at this weekend’s Fall Policy Debate Classic, held at Miami Dade College – Hialeah Campus. In the middle school division, Redland Middle School secured top honors after a day of powerful arguments, strategic collaboration, and exceptional speaking.
The tournament—part of the 2025–2026 Miami-Dade Urban Debate League (MDUDL) season—brought together nearly 150 students, judges, coaches, and community members from across Miami-Dade County. Competitors delivered evidence-based cases, cross-examinations, and compelling final speeches before a diverse panel of judges that included educators, legal professionals, and civic leaders.
The next Miami-Dade Urban Debate League tournament will be held at Barry University on December 13, 2025.
